St. Lucia

Gros Islet Jump Up

St. Lucia’s largest street party is a Friday night ritual known as the Jump Up in Gros Islet. ¬†There you can find island locals along with tourists listening to music on huge speaker setups while drinking in the streets and eating barbecue fish and chicken. Pictures from the Gros Islet Jump Up in St. Lucia We were there fairly early on a rainy night, so there wasn’t much of a crowd. Vendors line the both sides of the street selling different foods and drinks. There are bars and restaurants open all night long. Fish and chicken on the barbecue. There are plenty of tables to eat at. There is more food that you can imagine. Stop by the Roll Over Bar. A bartender will make you whatever type of drink you want. Towers of speakers produce the music for the night, even in the rain! See more pictures of the Gros Islet Jump Up here…
