Whirlwind Trip Through Scandinavia

Timing is everything right?  Hurricane Sandy hit New Jersey on Monday and Tuesday leaving the entire state paralyzed and I was scheduled to fly to Norway on Thursday.  Thankfully Newark Airport opened back up just in time for the flight over the Atlantic.  The flight itself was rather painless and lasted a little bit over seven hours as we traveled about 3,700 miles.  It was then about an hour and a half drive south to the city of Moss, Norway where I stayed with my girlfriend’s sister’s family.

Over the course of the trip I traveled over 1,000 miles through parts of Norway, Sweden and Denmark.  Along the way I stopped and spent about a half a day in each of the following cities:

  • Oslo, Norway
  • Fredrikstad, Norway
  • Gothenburg, Sweden
  • Malmo, Sweden
  • Copenhagen, Denmark

It was certainly a great experience and a trip I’m glad I took.  Pictures are currently in the editing process but will be posted very soon.
